Holy Trinity is a community that loves to worship Jesus Christ together. Here is a brief description of our Sunday service.
Our worship service is held at 10:00 AM on Sunday morning in the sanctuary, and usually ends at around 11:15. The service is guided by the 1979 Book of Common Prayer and is representative of the Anglican tradition of offering the oldest forms of Christian worship in language that people can understand and appreciate.
This means that our worship service is liturgical; the people participate in the service through responsive readings of scripture, prayers, and acclamations. It also means that our services are structured intentionally.
We begin with the reading of Holy Scripture, hear that scripture speak into our lives through the sermon, and then confess together our sinfulness and God’s forgiveness of that sin through Jesus Christ.
Our worship always culminates with the celebration of Holy Communion, where we participate in the grace offered to us through Christ’s death on our behalf. The service is interspersed with songs of praise, which are a mixture of traditional hymns and modern praise songs.
Please join us for this beautiful service. For some it will be very familiar, for others it may feel new, but you will be blessed as we worship a God that cares deeply for his you.
One more thing: There is no dress code, though pajamas are discouraged, as are tuxedos and ball gowns.
Child care and children’s Sunday school is offered during the service for children from birth to 10 years old, held in the education building next to the sanctuary. The children rejoin their parents prior to Holy Communion so that the whole family can participate in this special time together.
